The Department of Basic Science and Humanities (BSH) is a cornerstone of the academic framework at C.V. RAMAN POLYTECHNIC. Our mission is to integrate the fundamentals of mathematics, physics, chemistry, and critical thinking with the broader context of human values, ethics, and communication skills.
The department offers a range of courses designed to support and enrich the engineering curriculum. These include:
• Mathematics: Fundamental topics such as algebra, calculus, and statistics that are essential for engineering analysis and design.
• Physics: Core concepts including mechanics, thermodynamics, and electromagnetism that form the basis of engineering principles.
• Chemistry: Principles of physical and organic chemistry that underpin material science and various engineering processes.
• Communication Skills: Courses aimed at developing effective written and oral communication, crucial for technical documentation and teamwork.
